Rules and Payouts:
Caribbean Stud poker rules and payouts vary from casino to casino, thus we can not give you a universal set of rules. The rules described below are the most common ones for U.S. casinos.
- All players place their antes on the layout where indicated before the dealer announces no more bets.
- All players including the dealer receive 5 cards, face down.
- The dealer exposes one of his cards and pushes the cards toward the players.
- Only then the players may look at their cards.
- Players can play or fold.
- If a player chooses to play, he places his bet, which must be twice the amount of his respective ante in the bet box. If he chooses to fold, he forfeits his ante.
- After all the players have made their decisions, the dealers hole cards are revealed.
- The dealer compares his cards to the cards of the players in a counter clockwise direction. The best hand wins.
Dealer Rules:
- The dealer can only play with an ace/king or higher.
If the dealer does not have at least Ace/King, the game will be void, and all players will receive even money on their antes only. If the dealer wins, he collects both the ante and the bet of the player. If the player wins he receives even money on his ante and money in one of the following proportions on his bet: - Royal flush 100:1
- Straight flush 50:1
- Four of a kind 20:1
- Full house 7:1
- Flush 5:1
- Straight 4:1
- Three of a kind 3:1
-
Two pair 2:1
- One pair or less 1:1
Note that the Maximum payout in Caribbean Stud is 5,000,000 dollars!
Progressive Jackpots:
Caribbean stud players also have an option to use the Progressive Feature to win money if they have Flush or higher regardless of the outcome of the game itself. This can be done by dropping a 1 dollar chip into the chip acceptor on the table after placing the ante. All chips ever dropped into the acceptor accumulate their and increase Progressive Meter until someone gets Flush or higher and receives one of the following payouts:
- Royal Flush: 100 percent of Progressive Meter.
- Straight Flush: 10 percent of Progressive Meter
- Four-of-a-Kind: 500 dollars
- Full House: 100 dollars
- Flush: 50 dollars
Winning progressive payout hands are paid in accordance with the amount on the meter in the moment when the player drops a chip. If more than one player at a table played Progressive Feature and got a Royal Flush, these players share the amount of Progressive Meter equally.
