I know our parents told us not to lie but in poker, we don’t lie, we BLUFF. A huge part of gambling, believe it or not is actually bluffing. Why? Because it is just like any other strategy. Just because you were dealt a bad hand doesn’t mean the game is over for you. You can still win!

The reason people bluff in poker is to try to trick the other players into thinking that you have great cards when you really got nada, or of course, vice versa. A good poker player is a player who bluffs every now and then. People who have no experience begin bluffing within the first minute of the game and that is a big NO NO because it's going to cost you the game. Bluffing is like an art, sure anyone can do it, but not everyone can do it well.
So how do you bluff "correctly"?

Be Indifferent
Well, something important to remember is to never show too much emotion. Don't make it so obvious when all your cards stink or are full of kings.

Pace Yourself
Don’t bet too much in the beginning, don’t look too arrogant. It may be even worth it for you to you folding the first hand (if your cards are hopeless of course)

Be Strong
You must show that you have guts! Don’t show weakness. That will keep them guessing and will eventually drive them crazy.

Bluff with bad hands rather then the good ones.
Bluff when there aren't too many players
Make decent bets. You should try to make your opponent think that you have a good hand, so you can try to get some chips out of them

Always think, would you believe yourself? Don’t bluff if your opponent is expecting or waiting for you to bluff.
