Late Friday night after having a good night playing at the slots an 86 year old man was leaving a Detroit area casino when he was approached by a man wearing a ski mask.

The masked assailant told the old man to empty his pockets onto the ground and run away. The man, a WW2 vet refused and told the wanabe thief that if he wants the money he is going to have to take it.

When the Mask wearing attacker took a step closer the old man with lightning speed pulled a stun gun from his pocket and lunged at his attacker.

The stun gun made contact, and the would be thief hit the ground convulsing. The old man then bent over and gave the man several more jolts from his stun gun.

A witness to the event had called 911 and within minutes the police were there pulling this old man off the thief.

The police then handcuffed the unconscious thief and put him in the police car and drove him to be checked out at the hospital. Once the hospital said he was fine the police arrested him.

The thief is now sitting in Jail after being unable to come up with $100,000 for bail. He is expected to go before a judge first thing Monday morning on charges of attempted theft.

If he is found guilty he could spend up to 6 months in jail.
