Bingo is the first event that unites a musical with the game. The New York premiere will take place on the 7th of November at the St. Luke Theatre. This play tells the story of a bunch of women who cannot stop playing bingo. During the play, the audience also plays bingo.
The Bingo first debut was in 2001, at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse. Later it was also shown at the Ordway Center of the Performing Arts (Minnesota) and at the Adirondack Theatre Festival. The play is directed by Thomas Caruso. Lisa Stevens is the choreographer and Steve Bishop the musical director. The creators of the book are Ilene Reid and Michael Heitzman. The later and David Holcenberg are the authors of the songs.
