A 27 year old man was arrested on December 27th of 2006 after he made people believe that the vibrator in his bag was a gun so he could rob the bookmaker shop.

The teller behind the window told police that she handed the man almost $1400 in cash when he pointed the vibrator at her, thinking it was a gun.

The entire incident was captured on the bookmaker's security CCTV camera system. After seeing the video the 27 year old from Braunstone England changed his plea from not guilty to guilty.

The judge sentenced him to 5 years but not before adding that even though he did not use a gun, the people in the shop at the time of the robbery believed him to have a gun, the fear was certainly real and they may be psychology scared from this for life.

The prosecuting attorney claimed that when he aimed the item in the bag at the teller she had to assume it was a gun of some type and that even though the item was actually his girlfriends vibrator he wanted them to believe it was a weapon.

After he ran out of the bookmakers shop with his money, one brave customer took it upon himself to follow the thief. When the robber stopped off for a drink in a local pub the man from the bookmakers shop called the police.

Police found the man's DNA in the ski mask he wore during the robbery and ditched during his escape.
