The poker media company Card Player was chosen as the official content provider and for the 2006 World Series of Poker due to June 25 until August 10, 2006. According to their deal with Harrahs Entertainment and WSOP, Card Player Media will have the exclusive rights to cover the most important poker event in the world.

Card Player Media website will provide real time coverage of the happenings in the WSOP event in Las Vegas including streaming video of poker player interviews, behind the scenes action and even chip counts in real time. In addition, it will provide daily newsletters and the official WSOP brochure

Card Player Media was founded 18 years ago as a media resource for poker players and poker fans. Card Player Media publishes three monthly poker magazines Card Player, Card Player College, and Card Player Europe. The company also owns and operates an online poker portal.
