The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe plan to build a 400 million dollars casino hotel in Sennett.

The mall tycoon Thomas Wilmot plans to collaborate with the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma to build a casino hotel in Sennett, Cayuga County. Wilmot had already failed in his attempt to develop a casino in Rochester. His 400 million dollars plan includes a 300 room hotel and a super casino located on the Finger Lakes hills.

According to local lawmaker, the chances of approving Wilmot proposal are not very high. The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe is involved in a legal expedition to take over the land. In addition, the tribe will face a strong opposition from the local tribes.

According to Wilmot, the casino hotel would create about 2,000 permanent jobs and earn an annual profit of over 5 million dollars in local taxes. Sennett Supervisor David Sikora said the town council plans to examine Wilmot proposal.
