Secret Gambling Plans to Build Casino Revealed by the Times.
The British newspaper The Times has uncovered secret plans to build over 1,000 new casinos in the country.

The reputed British paper, The Times, has recently reported their discovery of secret plans to open over 1,000 new casinos in the Islands within the next 10 years. The government report which reveals that a hundred of casinos could be built this year strikes as strange at least, after the Parliament limited the number of casinos to one big casino and 6 small ones, some months ago.

The government report entitled The Use Classes Order, Casinos and the Gambling Bill has been written by the Office of the Deputy Primer Minister and among other things it shows that the number of gambling addicts in the country has increased nearly twice, in total around 700,000 people are addicted to gambling. All the attention is now focused on the Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell whose department has openly encouraged casino expansion. The report worries about a gambling expansion in certain areas where the social consequences could be terrible. Town centers could break down and crime, antisocial and alcoholic problems could arise.

The report also says that the casino is only concerned about its revenues and not about the individual. Furthermore, if casinos would open 24-hours a day, the increase of noise and litter would be significant. Thus, worsening the life quality of those people living near casino sites.
