Several Democratic Congressmen are upset at the way the Internet gambling Ban was slipped thru congress with no chance for anyone who was against it having a chance to speak up.
"The only reason this bill was passed was to gain Republican support in the upcoming elections" is what one Congressman who wishes to remain anonymous had to say about the ban on Internet Gambling.
The Republicans think that this unenforceable law will help them retain a republican hold on the house, and by losing the house it will make it harder to fight the War on Terrorism.
So now it seems many Democrats will be making repealing the gambling ban a large part of their campaign in the upcoming elections.
With the war in Iraq seeming to be going very badly for the US, and the fact that after 5 years of searching in Afghanistan we still have not found Bin Laden, it seems republicans are worried about their jobs, and feel that voters who may have voted for the Democrats because of their displeasure with the war will change their minds, because of the internet gambling ban.
But what the Republicans may not have thought about is how many votes they will be giving to the left, because any Democrat that says he is going to try to get the law reversed is sure to get all the votes in his or her state from the over 10 million Americans that were regular online casino and poker players.
