Forest City Enterprises and Harrahs Entertainment had revealed their Station Square casino plan in front of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in public hearings, which was held in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Forest City Enterprises and Harrahs Entertainment plan to invest over 1 billion dollars in Station Square. The plan includes a 512 million dollars casino, collaboration with Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation, and creation of a new foundation, which will be operated by Franco Harris.

Charles Atwood, chief financial officer of Harrahs Entertainment, had declared during the public hearing that the company is excited about bringing Harrahs to west Pennsylvania. He said the casino project would help in developing Pittsburgh into a preferred tourist destination.
