According to the 2005 Indian Gaming Compensation Survey prepared by an internet compensation and benefits survey company of Scottsdale, there are major differences between hourly wage jobs at the hotel industry and the Indian gaming operations.
WageWatch, Inc. survey proved that the hourly wages in tribal gaming establishments are lower in 7 percent than the average wage in hotels. Starting rates were 10 percent lower in tribal casino casinos than in hotels.
On the other hand, Indian Gaming pay higher wagers for employees in management positions, for example housekeeping directors, executive chefs, director of human resources, etc. In management positions, the average wage is 9 percent higher than in hotels.
