Indian Tribe Collaborates with MGM Mirage

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and MGM Mirage had announced Tuesday 25, April that they have agreed to collaborate in developing a new hotel and casino resort at Foxwoods Resort Casino. In addition, MPTN and MGM Mirage have agreed to co develop another casino and a non-gaming project at Foxwoods and outside Connecticut.

According to the agreement, MGM Mirage will be required to see with MPTN about the construction of the 700 million dollars hotel-casino resort, which is opening is scheduled to spring 2008. The planned resort will be able to use one of the MGM Grand brand names. It will also include a restaurant, nightclub, entertainment hall, spa and other amenities.

MPTN and MGM Mirage will collaborate to develop a gaming and non-gaming projects in Foxwoods and outside Connecticut. MGM Mirage will loan an amount of up to 200 million dollars for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation for the investment in the projects, which will include Indian and non-Indian gaming.
