Judge tells the Attorney General to get harder on gambling State wide.

The Alabama Supreme court Judge that fought the removal of the 10 Commandments from his courthouse wrote a letter to the state Attorney general telling him to get harder on gambling all across Alabama

The Supreme Court Judge quoted the Attorney General as saying "Gambling in any form is still gambling and must be stopped." from a campaign speech. He then went on to say "You said during your campaign that you would end gambling. Now is the time to let our actions speak louder than your words,"

This is from a letter the judge wrote to the Attorney General of Alabama on Tuesday. Soon after sending the letter the Judge also released the letter to the press.

"We have been aggressive in going after illegal gambling operations across the state," the Attorney General was quotes as saying in response from the letter. He also said that his office had successfully gone after or attempted to go after many illegal gambling halls, but said the problem is when one place gets closed down two more open in its place, and they do not have the recourses to get them all.

The letter was sent after the Alabama Supreme court decided that instant Sweepstakes games at the Birmingham Dog track were in fact illegal gambling machines.

After the Court handed down its ruling Sheriffs and District Attorneys had to go around telling business with games deemed illegal to remove them, or face harsh penalties.
