Charges will be filed against the father of a 4 year old boy, who was left alone in a car in freezing temperatures while his father was inside a casino in Minneapolis. The dad will face charges of Child Endangerment likely to cause substantial harm.

The father, 4 years old, will also be charged with making a false statement to the police after he was found to have lied to the police.

According to the police report a casino player who was heading to his car found the young boy walking around the parking lot and brought him to the casino security at approximately 12:15 am, in 7 degree below zero weather, with a wind chill of 22 degrees bellow zero. When he was found the boy was suffering from mild hypothermia. Police said the boy is lucky he was found when he was.

According to the casinos surveillance cameras on the parking lot the man and his son arrived at the Minnesota casino at 10:51.

The father admitted to leaving the boy in the car while he went into the casino to play Blackjack. The man's bail was set at $8,000 and he was unable to make bail.

The boy was treated and released into the Hennepin County Child Protective Services, who will try and locate the boy's mother.
