Playtech has released recently a new casino game called Tequila Poker to be played both in online casinos and in some of Las Vegas casinos. Tequila Poker is added to Playtech latest developments in the area of exclusive casino games including its recent Blackjack Switch.

Tequila Poker was released by Playtech in April this year. After its premier at Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, the game has been approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission and it will be played in several land based casinos in Las Vegas. Tequila Poker would be available online only at Playtech licensee online casinos.

Tequila Poker is a poker style game that can be played in hi/lo betting format. Tequila Poker is played with a standard 52 card deck. Each player is dealt four cards and has to decide on its turn whether to continue the hand or fold and lose his ante. After the player had chosen a playing mode %u2013 High Tequila or Tequila Poker, the initial ante is being doubled. Then the players are dealt additional two cards.

According to High Tequila rules, the sum of the five highest cards is calculated. In order to qualify for a winning hand, it has to have a total of 46 or better. According Tequila Poker rules, the best hand is chosen according to the highest six cards.
