Wagoner County has been ordered by the FBI to get ride of all illegal gambling machines.

One county in Eastern Oklahoma is coming down hard on illegal gambling machines. The Wagoner county police have given businesses till the end of the year to get rid of any machines that gives customers the chance to risk money and offers cash prizes.

Within the next 30 days all the businesses in Wagoner must remove all gambling machines, or have them confiscated by the local authorities.

According to state law in Oklahoma any machine that offers a cash prize for money is illegal, even if the machine only pays out a voucher that can be redeemed for money. The state was informed to crack down on these illegal games by the local FBI office.

All of these machines must be removed by December 31st, and all of the business owners said they would comply, but that it was still unfair.

According to one store owner "It's really not hurting anyone, it helps us, it helps the Wagoner community,"

One local shop owner said she thought the machines were legal, and that they do not make her a lot of money, but it helps to pay the bills. According to her estimate she brings in nearly 400 a week from the machines, and she says it is not fair that she can not have these machines to help bring in a little extra money but the casinos make hundreds of millions a year doing the same thing.
