Pinnacle Entertainment reported Tuesday the results for the second quarter and the first 6 months of 2006. According to Pinnacle reports, the company revenues for the second quarter of 2006 grew in 51.0 percent to 228.8 million dollars. The company reports on the 6 months ended in June 30 show a growth of 73.4 percent in its revenue to 463 million dollars comparing to the same time in 2005.

Daniel R. Lee, Pinnacles Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said the company is satisfied with the results and claimed that the growth in the company revenues is derived by the success of Boomtown New Orleans and LAuberge du Lac in Lake Charles. He added that the company intends to become the biggest casino company in the South.

Pinnacle Entertainment was founded in 1938 as a racetrack in Los Angeles, California. Pinnacle Entertainment is currently one of the biggest gaming companies in the US. It owns and operates casino properties in Nevada, Louisiana, Indiana, Argentina and the Bahamas. Pinnacle also owns a hotel in Missouri and a casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The company is currently developing projects in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
