A new online auction site dedicated to poker was founded by Steve Morrow, a former director of the World Series of Poker. The Poker Attic purpose is to benefit the recovery efforts of New Orleans after hurricane Katrina.
Steve Morrow, the founder and president of Paradigm Poker Consultants, a former director of WSOP tournament, a former manager of an online poker room and a hurricane Katrina survivor, donated some of his personal poker memorabilia to his new project the online auction site the Poker Attic.
As opposed to other online auction sites on the internet dedicated to poker, the Poker Attic does not collects any fees for registration or for bidding on items at the site. The Poker Attic is devoted to help New Orleans, the birthplace of poker, to overcome the destruction caused by hurricane Katrina last year.
The Poker Attic founder, Steve Morrow had donated the auction site his new Poker Stars Manager Jacket with a starting bid of 1 dollar and other poker memorabilia from his private collections. All the profits from his sales will be donated to the New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund.
