The Southern California Gaming Guide announced the winners of the 2006 Best of Southern California Gaming Readers Choice Awards. According to the readers of the Southern California Gaming Guide, the best local casino is Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino followed by Harrahs Rincon Casino and Resort and Pechanga Resort and Casino.

More than 400,000 readers of Southern California Gaming Guide took part in the 2006 Best of Southern California Gaming readers poll. Thirty two of the readers won prizes including an eight days cruise to the Mexican Riviera, 1,000 dollars cash prize and computer games. The poll included 78 awards of casinos and slot machines categories. Southern California Gaming Guide is the only monthly guide in Southern California.

Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino was chosen as the best casino in Southern California and Harrahs Rincon Casino and Resort was awarded as the best casino resort. Barona Valley Ranch was also awarded as the best slots, best high limit slots, best high limit table games and best video poker.

The Southern California Gaming Guide was first published in 2002. The magazine is available for free at more than 3,700 locations in the area and it provides updated information on the local gaming industry. The Southern California Gaming Guide donates part of its profits to responsible gaming organizations.
