Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers received the first Louie Prima Award in a gala that took place at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The Righteous Brothers impersonators Gene Sironen and Doug Masters performed the bands greatest hits including Unchained Melody, Youve Lost That Lovin and more.
Bill Medley received the Louie Prima Award, for outstanding achievement in the entertainment industry. The award was presented to Medley by The Cast, a social organization that provides support to performing artists in Las Vegas.
Sironen and Masters have been performing since 1994 as the Righteous Brothers award winning tribute show Legends in Concert, which runs for the 25th year at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. They will make a special one time performance on Monday, September 18, 2006.
The Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino has more than 2,600 hotel rooms and suites. The 75,000 square foot casino offers 1,000 slot machines, 56 table games, 230 seats race and sportsbook, poker room and a keno lounge.
