Stealing From the Rich to Give to the Richer

Could the United States be involved in a plot to monololise the Online Gambling market?

Last week president Bush signed a bill to increase the security at our ports, and to ban money being transferred to online casinos.

What do these two bills have in common, is a question many people have been asking, the truth is they have nothing in common except that the port security bill, a bill that was sure to pass thru congress, was used to help pass a controversial new law banning bank from transferring money to any account used for the purposes of online gambling.

People are saying that this is a conspiracy by the American government to destroy the overseas Online gambling operations, to allow the established American casinos to take over, and their proof is the fact that this bill was passed in a very back door manner. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Act was attached to the port security bill and brought up at a time when they were trying to get everything finished before vacation.

They knew the port security bill was going to pass and they attached the gambling bill because they know the other congressmen are hurrying things thru.

Many people are speculating that the real reason the bill was passed is because the online gaming industry is a 12 billion dollar a year industry with over 6 billion of those dollars coming from the United States, and they were not getting any of that money.

Many of Washington?s insiders are saying that if a deal can be struck where the United States can get tax money from that 6 billion dollars then the law would probably be repealed.

If the law should ever be repealed it would then allow Americas land based casinos to get in on the online gaming action, and with their well established names they should be able to take a large chunk of that 12 billion and return it to the United States, which would then allow the Government to tax the casinos on their profits and any player who wins in the casino, bringing the American Government hundreds of millions in taxes every year.
