After an unfortunate period of losing clients and giving a poor corporative image, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino is willing to change its luck. The company, which just emerged from bankruptcy, is now planning to renovate the complex and to that purpose millions of dollars are going to be invested. Rooms of the Trump Entertainment Resorts will be renovated, restaurants will be added, and more employees will be hired.
Since it began, the renovating process has produced an income of over 3 million dollars to the company, which is not such an impressing sum in the casino scene, but at least shows that the company begins to progress. The casino is giving a better image and clients are happy, as tips show, according the employees.
Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc., owns 3 casinos in Atlantic City. These casinos had huge debts in the past years, which nearly reached 2 billion dollars. In 1996, it went public, but even that did not bring profits. That, along with the building of new casinos in the area seemed to condemn Trump casinos to an inevitable decline. Thanks to the Chapter 11 reorganization, the company?s debt was reduced, and it received 500 million dollars credit.
