New gambling rules were introduced by UK government on Thursday. The draft of the gambling rules includes suggestions to fight gambling addictions and gambling related crimes.
The government discussed forbidding casinos to serve free drinks. In addition, clocks will be hanged on the walls in order to let gambler idea on how long they have been gambling.
Gambling Commission spokesperson said the casino operators would have to include measure that will control repetitive play. The proposed measures can be clocks, timers and alerts on machines.
According to the new gambling act that will take effect from September 2007, 17 new casinos and one super casino will receive licenses.
