Man gets head cracked and ear ripped from his head after leaving casino

A large gang of hooligans who jumped a casino patron on his way to his car breaking his skull and ripping part of his ear off have not been captured or identified.

The police feel that someone must have seen the incident at the Perth casino and be able to identify at least one of the attackers, and they are hoping someone will come forward and admit to being a witness and provide a break in the case for the police.

A 44 year old man was attacked by about 20 people as he and friends were leaving the Burswood casino just after midnight Friday night.

Police believe the attack took place after several women were insulting a woman that was with the victim, but police do not know if something happened prior to this to make the woman angry.

The victim and some friends were on their way to their car after an evening at the casino when they noticed a group of 20 people running at them in a very menacing way, according to the police report.

The small group attempted to make it to the car but the victim was tackled to the ground from behind and the man was brutally kicked and beaten for several minutes before his attackers finally had enough of him and walked away.

The man had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital. The man has a fractured skull and part of his left ear had been torn from his head.
