The Atlantic City Express Service, also known as the ACES, started to run the train service from New York to Atlantic City casinos bringing players to play in the casinos!
Online casinos were already putting a check point to their business; however, they survived regardless since the whole of the gambling population is not computer literate, but the economic crisis has caused a bad turn.
The Borgata, Harrah's Atlantic City, and Caesars Atlantic City are the three main casinos which led to the ACES; however, casinos in Atlantic City are too desperate to go back and team up with their creators.
"Twenty years ago we didn't require anything to attract customers. We'd just open the doors and they'd come. Now, with the increasing competition, we have to protect the franchise," stated Michael J. Walsh, the Vice President of development for Caesars.
The competition at present is from the neighboring states which have expanded their casino gambling laws with due relaxation of legalization proceeds and it has so happened that Atlantic City is no longer the King of Casinos, which rule the Eastern United States.
People are resorting to other gambling destinations providing options similar to casinos in Atlantic City. There is business despite recession, but Atlantic City is losing them to competitors.
