Casino Regulation in Connecticut Not Up To Requirement

Connecticut has been apparently competing with Atlantic City. There is already a cold war between the two casino gambling venues about the unfairness of one snatching away the business of another.

A statistical analysis of the fate of the casinos in Connecticut has shown that they are rapidly progressing to betterment. However, this has nothing to do with governmental roles in helping with the marketing and attracting of customers.

Problem gambling seems to be catching up.  Problem gamblers are growing in proportion to the number of disposal income gamblers visiting the many casinos in Connecticut.  As far as casino business is concerned, the state law has two roles to play.  One is to limit the number of casinos in proportion to the casinos and the next is to have a system in place to check and help with the problem gamblers who are sure to prop up.

Though there has been a considerable betterment in the gambling revenues of the state.   In terms of increasing the number of jobs, the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun have played a major role.  About 12% jobs were created by the industry when the rest of them were laying off employees; however, it has been noted that the bad and ugly side of casinos, gambling addiction, has not been attended to.

This does not necessarily mean that there should not be any more gambling centers around the city.  Just that law and help line should be put in place to check gambling addiction in a way that addiction does not grow in proportion with increasing gambling revenues.
