Initial Layout :

The game Klondike layout consists of seven columns starting with the first column containing one card. So on and so forth until the seventh column. The top card of each column is played face up, with the remainder of the cards under the face up card face down. The 24 cards that are leftover will be face down as well forming a small deck.

Object:

The object of Klondike is to move the four aces, as they appear in play, to their foundations, or homes, and to build up each foundation or home from the ace to the king in sequential order.

Turn three cards face up from the deck to form a waste pile or Klondike pile. The top card of the discard pile may be played onto the layout or onto the homes. Likewise the top cards of each home may be played onto other homes or foundations. You play the cards by playing them in sequential descending order alternating colors.

You can move part of a foundation to another foundation if you are trying to access a card in the middle of the foundation.

When a face down card is exposed turn it face up. If a space is made in the foundations due to moving cards only a kind can take the spot.

The discard pile in Klondike may be recycled and played again as many times as you need until you use all the cards and win the game or until you have no more moves available to you and you lose the game.
